Looking for PMIC

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: NE555, MSP430G2221, TPS65023, TPS650864, TPS65400

Requirements Description:
1, a total of 7-way power supply, the current is not particularly accurate, the deviation is not big
2, the key is to find can detect clkreq this signal (pmic Gpio have this function is also the same), detection of this signal if the high level, first to 2v7_nand and 1v8_nand 1v8 Other turn off, continue to detect high level duration of more than 5S (5s10s all line), To turn 1v8_dram and 1v2_dram off. Power is turned on when low level is detected
3, other normal pmic functions, such as supporting the IIC interface, such as the support of OTP functions, such as overcurrent protection, over-voltage protection, resistance to current and voltage impact, such as general functions.

Need to have 2nd special needs

  • Chao,
What processor are you using? We have many PMIC's and some are for specific processors. When I have processor information, I will pass your question to our processor PMIC product group.
    Thank you
  • Hi Chao,

I don't think we have any PMICs that would support that behavior by default, however it might not be too difficult to implement a circuit to handle it. I think some combination of an NE555, a NAND gate, and a latch maybe could control an enable pin.

Alternatively, a very small microcontroller like the MSP430G2221 could manage these states.

What VIN range are you targeting? Many of our PMICs require a large business case for OTP spins (new default settings part), however there are some that can be configured externally, like the TPS65023 (low Vin) or TPS65400 (medium Vin) with schematic. Others, like the TPS650864 can be controlled with a microcontroller to provide the desired voltage / sequence.
  • Hi Chao,

You may want to check the LP8758-E0 which is a buck converter, has 4 rails: 1V/4A, 1.2V/4A, 1.8V/4A and 2.5V/4A (by power on default); With 3 load switches,  I2C commands, and I2C host GPO or, other timing circuits, it may meet your power need. BTW, for PMIC searching, your Vin specs is also very important.

Please let's know if you have questions.

    Thanks!

  • Gordon,

SSD Product; These power supply is to Marvell master.DDR.Flash and other power supply
  • Hi Chao,

We don't have exact PMIC for what you mentioned. Please consider my proposal and let me know if you have questions.

    Thanks!
