TPS65400EVM-678: Can't connect TPS65400EVM-678 to USB2ANY

Hello,

I have a TPS65400EVM-678 bought recently. I tried installing the PI-Commander and running PI-Commander-PMU.exe. PI-Commander connected to the EVM successfully. But the functionalities like switching regulators ON/OFF did not work.

Assuming the issue was with the USB2ANY Firmware, I updated the firmware to 2.8.2.0

Now the TPS65400EVM is not detected in the software, also the green LED is blinking (4 blinks and pause continuously). USB2ANY is shown in the window but not TPS65400

USB2ANY connects with the USB2ANY Explorer and I confirmed by checking the GPIO voltages of the 30 pin port.

Also I checked the voltages of VOUT1/2/3/4 with USB2ANY plugged, there is no output from any of the regulators.

Can you please let me know how to solve this?

Hi,

I think the problem may be firmware version of USB2ANY. Please use version 1_19_0_0. By some unknown reason, version later than that can't support this EVM. You can take below link as reference, which has similar issue.

Hi,

I already tried updating the USB2ANY firmware to lower versions. But it does not seem to update correctly.

I tried renaming the text file to the new version as suggested on the above thread. It always shows it is updated to 2.8.2.0.

Can you please let me know how to properly update the firmware on USB2ANY?
