TPS65921 BSDL file

Hello,

Can you post the TPS65921 BSDL file developing JTAG boundary scan tests?

I have found the TPS65920 BSDL file at TPS65920 BSDL Models  (ZIP 3 KB)  to use as a short-term work-around; however, I assume that the IO will be different per Differences in Features for TPS65920 and TPS65921 (Rev. B)  (PDF  41 KB)  (e.g.  TPS65920 has a 6x6 keypad interface vcs. TPS65921 has an 8x 8 keypad interface).

Thanks,

Jeff

Is there another way to get a response to this item? Does anyone have this BSDL file?

    Thanks,

    Jeff

    Hi Jeff,

I have a copy of the BSDL file. We're waiting to see if there is a newer version before posting it to the forums, but it should be good for a starting point, feel free to e-mail me at smithjr2@ti.com and i'll send the copy to you.

    Karl,

Attached is the  TPS65921 BSDL file for the  ZCH package that I received from Smith, James [smithjr2@ti.com] . However, an entry needs to be created for the  ZQZ package since that is how the part is sold. Also, the IDCODE_REGISTER most likely has changed since this file is from 06/19/2009.

Please send me a copy of the file with the ZQZ entry if you or TI decide to update.

    Good Luck!

    Jeff

    Hi Jeff,

Thanks for sending the file. I forwarded it to our TI rep and they discussed internally at TI and below is their response. I suspect TI is selling this part with faulty internal boundaryscan cells or registers and they tell customers they will not support the jtag in anyway, but they also acknowledge that the jtag does operate ok in TESTMODE and that the port is used in their factory for testing. I was really hoping TI could help more.

The BSDL file you are referring to is not complete nor will it be supported by TI.  If Datalogic decides to use this file TI will not be able to support this effort.  The JTAG for this device was not intended to be for customer use.  I have requested they remove any JTAG support out of the datasheet. I have talked to the factory and the files you are inquiring about will be use at your own risk and will not be supported via. TI. Sorry for the confusion.  You may find data and files on the e2e but TI cannot support everything on the e2e.  We simply do not have the manpower to do so.

    Regards,

    Phil
