In TPS65921, is "pressing PWRON for 8 seconds" a switch-off event or restart event?
According to my measurement, pressing PWRON for 8 sec in TPS65921 will only switch off TPS65921. But in TPS65950, it will restart TPS65850 (NRESPWRON low and high immediately.)
Please help to confirm the above difference is true between TPS65921 & TPS65950.
Your measurements are correct.

Can you confirm what's the default value of STOPON_PWRON in TPS65921? In the document it's default as '1'. But in my test, it seems to be '0'. I'm still looking for a clean environment to confirm this. Do you have firmed answer @ your side?
In reply to Antony Lin:
Can you tell which version of the device you have?
It should be ES1.0. Is there any related change in ES2.0?
ES2.0 is the later one and has the correct default setting.
