Hello,
I am using TPS65930 OMAP and I will use its Automatic Level Control (ALC) function.
By the "TPS65930/TPS65920 OMAP Power-Management and System Companion Devices Silicon Revision 1.2 Version G" Technical Reference Manual (Literature Number SWCU052G) are there 4 registers to setup ALC. ALC_CTL, ALC_SET1, ALC_SET2 and ANAMIC_GAIN. Problem is poor description of this registers. I dont understand mainly what is function of ALC_MAX_LIMIT - "ALC high threshold control" and ALC_MIN_LIMIT "ALC low threshold control" in register ALC_SET1 (page 635).
Is there more detailed description of this two controllers (eventually all 4 registers)?

I have checked many documentation where I found new usefull info about TPS65930, but none of them was about ALC. If there are something new about ALC_MAX_LIMIT and ALC_MIN_LIMIT since Jun, please let me know.

Hi, have you checked SCWU050 document? This is the only one discussing in "some" details about ALC. Please note that ALC_MIN/MAX_LIMIT are not set from PMU side so it is likely a constant set at OMAP driver level.

Yes, I had checked SCWU50 document in revision E (SWCU050E) and there is same, word for word, description as in document SWCU052G.

It seems by measurement on an oscilloscope that, the ALC_MIN_LIMIT is threshold, where "release phase" of ALC is started, and ALC_MAX_LIMIT is threshold, where "release phase" of ALC ends. But I do not want to mislead. Decibel setting does not fit precisely.

Hi, I have checked all TWL6040 documentation and there is no reference to these thresholds; there are defined by OMAP in their SW drivers so I think best would be to ask this question into OMAP forum.
