The output reference voltage (VREF - Pin 18) is not in the specified range (0.85V ± 1%). We measure voltages around 0.839V. Is there a failure in the datasheet? The regulator voltages are within the specification.

There is no faliure in the dataseet, this could just be simple related to how measuremetns are taken , You need to use a high impedance mutimeter, also need to makke sure the GND is connected to REF GND,
thanks,
Puneet
Of course a high impedance multimeter is required. But in my opinion a 10MOhm impedance is a high impedance. We used a Fluke189. What is a high impedance Multimeter in your opinion?
Yes, that is fine . Some time people use scope for the measurements, that is why i asked.
what is the cap on the board on vref PIN? how far is that from device
thanks,
Puneet
We use a 100nF, 16V, X7R, 0402 capacitor according to the datasheet. The capacitor is as close as possible. The distance is less than 5mm.
thanks
