Q: Are external pull ups necessary for I2C bus from PMIC device to OMAP?
A: No. If the capacitance specification of I2C standard is followed then there is no need for external pull-up, internal pull ups are sufficient. If external pull ups are used then make sure that the internal pull ups are disabled.
