I was just trying to dig this information out of TPS65920 TRM and it wasn't that clear. I'm under the assumptation that JTAG setup for the TPS65950 will be the same as that for the TPS65920. Unfortunately I do not see an attached document as stated in your posting. Can you repost or point to...

Hi, I have attached the document. You are correct, the JTAG setup is same for TPS65950/30/20 devices. Let me know if you have any questions.

Please read the following post for procedure to use JTAG - http://community.ti.com/forums/p/2898/10839.aspx#10839 OMAP and TPS65950/30/20 can be connected on the same chain. JTAG interface on TPS65950/30/20 devices is on 1.8V. OMAP interface is probably also on 1.8V, however it would be better to...

JTAG is generally used in factory for checking the scan chain. Is this the purpose you need to use JTAG. This JTAG should not be confused with any type of emulator JTAG or such. Let me know what you want to do and why are you looking at using both modes. In test mode the device power-up etc is completely...

Gandhar, Faizul asked this question for me, and I will supply the response. In circuit testing during the manufacturing process is what I was after. I didn't know if I should chain the companion chip JTAG with the OMAP JTAG, or leave it by itself, and let the test fixture access it independently...

If we want to use JTAG for boundary connection in TPS65920, do we need to add external pull on TDI & TCK? Antony

Hi Rahul, Is the JTAG chain only on OMAP processor or OMAP+PMIC? Are you trying to do a JTAG scan test for OMAP? If you want more information on scan test for PMIC you can refer to the following post - http://e2e.ti.com/support/arm174_microprocessors/omap_applications_processors/power_management_ics_for_omap_application_processors...

Hi, You cannot/should not use test mode and application mode at the same time. It is not possible to configure the device in both modes. Why would the customer need test mode? For test pins please follow the schematic checklist guidelines. We had seen issues when TEST.RESET pin was not grounded...

Hi, Can I chain PMIC & OMAP jtag connexions ? I am afraid that when in test mode, the PMIC could stop providing power, then the OMAP turns off and breaks the chain... Have any of you tried this successfully ?

I am interested in the answer to this question as well. For production we have a requirement that all JTAG compatible devices on the board be connected into a single scan chain. Normal JTAG is supposed to reset the JTAG state machine into test-logic-reset state with 5 successive TCLK pulses with TMS...

I have found the TPS65920 BSDL file at TPS65920 BSDL Models (ZIP 3 KB) to use as a short-term work-around; however, I assume that the IO will be different per Differences in Features for TPS65920 and TPS65921 (Rev....
