Q: TPS65053 unused ldo by 8157
Customer is using the TPS65053, but doesnt need LDO2 and 3. I sent them the following reply. Please verify that it is correct. I based it off of a previous post, and assumed that the TPS65053 and TPS65023 would have the same requirements.
....
You can get rid of the extra components. Here is what you should do.
• Tie EN_LDO2 and EN_LDO3 to GND.
• Connect FB_LDO2 to VLDO2 and don’t connect it to anything else. You can then remove the LDO2 resistor divider and output caps.
• Leave VLDO3 floating. Remove its output cap.
• Leave VINLDO2/3 floating. You can then remove bypass caps associated with that input.
...
You guys should add a "what to do with unused regulators" section to each of the PMU datasheets.
Thanks,

Mike,
You are correct with the configurations for unused regulators VLDO2 and VLDO3.
Thanks for the feedback, I will see if this is something we can get in the datasheets.
