TPS22942 question

I would like to clarify, if the ON enable pin of the TPS22942 part is active low or active high. In fact, at the table (feature list) at the beginning of the datasheet it is written that this is true. However, at the application information (page 13 of the datasheet) it is written that the ON pin is active high.

In case that TPS22942 is not active low enabled, is there any other 1.8V compatible with active low enable pin power switch?

Thank you!

    Hello Nikolaos,

The TPS22942 and TPS22941 are active low enable. You can find a summary of which part is active low/high at the bottom of the first page of the datasheet.

You are correct the application diagram page 13 is confusing, this is only to be considered for the TPS22943,4,5... We will make sure we change the datasheet to reflect this.

many thanks for your input. let me know if you need any additional information

    regards

    Mr. Pichot

I have been using this same component to limit the current going to a lamp, i want to cap it at max 40mA, but is doesnt seems to be willing to function!! I am following the application circuitry on the data sheet, I have also tried TPS22946 which has selectable current limit, on this particular device I left pin B2 floating to only give me 30mA current at o/p but again I am having no success, any input will be appreciated.

    Hi Mo,

As per the datasheet, TPS22942 has a current limit of 100mA.TPS22941 has a current limit of 40mA. Can you confirm which exact device you are using?

    Thanks.

    Regards
    Ankush
