Hotswap/ORing Gui Interface with Aardvark

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM25066, LM5066I, LM5066, LM25066I, LM5064, LM25056

Hi team,

Do all of our GUIs support communication from a PC via an Aardvark?

I know the LM25066 does but want to see if that spans across all/most of our devices that have i2c.

  • Hi David,

    The PI-COMMANDER-HOTSWAP GUI supports the Aardvark tool. This would cover LM25056, LM25066, LM25066I, LM5056, LM5064, LM5066, LM5066I.

The interface pinout is different from our typical HPA172 USB2GPIO adapter, so it would likely not be compatible with other TI GUIs without modification.

As a warning, if your customer has designed a pinout for the Aardvark, they may be connecting a pin to GND which could damage the FTDI dongle if inserted. If they designed it for Aardvark, stick to plugging in Aardvark. If they designed it for our FTDI FT2232H Mini Module Dongle Adapter, then they can use either the FTDI dongle or the Aardvark.

    Thanks!

    Alex
