TPS25940 /about e-fuse series

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS25940, TPS24750
Hi Team,

I'd like to ask about TPS25940.
I have three questions about TPS25940.

(1)Please tell me about the failure mode of TPS25940?

(2)Our customer have been trying to use as a power path switch the TPS25940.
In this case, Should customer consider the deterioration of the switch?

(3)TPS25940 can be operated in parallel?
Customers want to ensure more than 5A current limit.
Do you have any product information for the current limit 9A version of TPS2594×?

 Best Regards,
Yusuke / Japan Disty

  • Hello Yusuke-san,

Below are  answers to your questions-
1)Please tell me about the failure mode of TPS25940?

if devices is operated within its recommended operating conditions it should not fail. please refer to the details  of abs max rating of the device in the data sheet.

(2)Our customer have been trying to use as a power path switch the TPS25940.
In this case, Should customer consider the deterioration of the switch?

I believe No, it is similar like other semiconductor MOSFET switch. what is product life customer is aiming at?

(3)TPS25940 can be operated in parallel?
Customers want to ensure more than 5A current limit.
Do you have any product information for the current limit 9A version of TPS2594×?

we have not really tried the parallel  for the current sharing purpose, may be you can experiment this with our TPS2594×EVM.

For the higher current you can consider TPS24750.  9A version of TPS2594×, is not available at this point of time.
