I am having two power supply of 3.3V on the board and i want only single supply at a time and other should not get affected.

For the above use case i am using a o-ring controller so just wanted to know if there is any drop across o-ring controller as the output must have 3.3V.

If there is any other suggestion please reply.

Hi Nitesh,

Oring controllers will have a small drop. It depends on the controller and whether an external MOSFET or an internal MOSFET is used.

We have the TPS2410 family of devices which regulate a 10mV forward voltage drop (very small) and use an external FET.

However for a 3.3V application which may be low current, you can use a "Power Mux" or PMUX device instead. Check out the devices here which have different Rds-on/current ratings:

Hi Nitesh,

Sure, but the lowest Rds-on PMUX devices we have use a 84mohm typical internal internal FET. So there would be some voltage drop, which may or may not be acceptable for your requirements:

TPS2113A (best for analog only control) DRB package:

TPS2115A (best if digitally controlled with micro) DRB package:

If you need lower Rds-on for less voltage drop, then we would probably suggest the TPS2410 family with external FETs, but that would be a much larger (and possibly cost prohibitive) solution.
