TPS2065 DVB-5 package layout guide

Hi Wang,

Some of our relatively old devices do not have layout guidelines like TPS2063, but we have those guidelines on new devices, so I am attaching a layout guideline for a similar device to the TPS2063 which is for the TPS2552, notice that (FAULT Bar) signal is the same as (OC bar) signal you have in the TPS2063.

As for package power rating, I didn’t understand the question; could you please explain your question further?

From the TPS2063 datasheet page 3 DISSIPATING RATING TABLE the DVB-5 package TA ≤ 25°C POWER RATING are 285mW and 704mW

Per my understand the difference between the two POWER RATING should be related to the layout.

How do I confirm when I use this package power rating can be achieved 704mW .

Here is the table snip showing the difference between DBV package 704mW and 281mW. Do you understand the dependence on ambient temperature (Ta)?

The RED box tells you how to derate power dissipation from 25C as Ta increases. For example, 281mW = 704mW - (85C - 25C) x 7.04mW/C
