EDIT: Unfortunately, according to the datasheet, the fast trip function cannot be disabled. The good news is the majority of our customer do not want to disable this function. If a short circuit event were to occur, then the FET would probably break as well as devices downstream. 

Please disregard my comment below, i had misread the datasheet. The bit below states a current fault condition.

On the bottom of page 31 of the datasheet, it states how to disable this bit. However, disabling the fast trip shutdown means no short-circuit protection (not recommended).

I do want to advise that this is a simple hotswap controller without SOA protection. Please consider the devices i listed in my first response :-)

Hi Sakai-san,

I believe so because the datasheet does not list the register on disabling the fast trip circuit. This part is an older device (10+ years) and the datasheet was also written at that time.

Thank you for finding and pointing out this possible error. I will take note of this and try to update the datasheet when possible.
