TPS23861: is there any risk when SDAI and SDAO are connected together in isolated systems?

in TPS23861 datasheet, it shows that SDAI and SDAO can be connected together for non-isolated systems.

but in customer's application, it is a isolated system and SDAI and SDAO are connected together, is there any risk?

Hi Max,

Please refer to the reference design on page 15 of the following link:

In this isolated system, the SDAI and SDAO pins are connected together before the isolator. Note, the isolator that connects to the SDAO&SDAI line must be bi-directional.
