LM5071: LM5071 - configure to non-isolated buck topology without Temp compensation

Part Number: LM5071

Hi E2E,

Our csutomer want to configure LM5071 to non-isolated topology, like Figure 18 in datasheet, but they want to remove Q2 + Temp comp.

How to modify the circuit for the portion of feedback?

does just put feedback resistor divider for 1V25 from Vout?

BR,

Jason

  • Hi Jason,

Yes you can simply readjust R12 if the temp comp circuit is not desired. It is similar calculation for voltage feedback. Note however, you can expect the line and load regulation to be worse if it's not used. Especially for 1.25V where regulation is important.
