TPS2388: Classification failed whild Sifos test

Hi,

Now using Sifos test instrument as "normal" PD device, TPS2388 could identify it as class4 PD and provide power.

But when using Sifos test instrument as "Sifos testing" PD device, TPS2388 could only identify it as class0 PD, and show the report below.

(BTW the report is the same if test by TPS2388EVM)

Could you help to heve some comment? Thank you.

Can you double check if you use type 2 turn on in register 0x23 to turn on the port after connecting a class 4 PD? Thanks.

Hi C.T,

How did customer test TPS2388EVM with Sifos? Did they run our MSP430 reference code or use "enable sifos test mode" on TPS2388EVM GUI? As we tested sifos in both ways, and it passed, I suggest customer to contact sifos for equipment setup if they used the same way as we did for our EVM sifos test. Thanks.
