Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TL431, TLV431
Hi, I have a TPS2373AEVM-001 evaluation board, I've swapped the components off it so that it's like the reference design PMP5595 . It seems to exhibit very poor voltage regulation, e.g. when a load is applied the output voltage drops low and then goes back up but to a lower voltage by several 100mV and then when the load is removed the output spikes up before settling down to the nominal output voltage. Does anyone have any clues as to what the problem might be, is it a poor loop reponse? how can I compensate it? Why would the output voltage change when the loaded, I know it should droop temporarily but why would it remain low? Thanks..
Mike
NOTE: I am using a TLV431 for the error amplifier, which is different from the TL431 suggested in the PMP5595 reference design.
