Kindly help me to understand SOA of mosfet especially circled area. When do RDS(on) linit occurs & what is pulse width in case of pulsed current i.e. 1sec,100ms etc.

I am designing a circuit using above  mosfet as switch to pass 10A current, & my drain voltage varies from 9-18V, what is voltage I should apply at gate terminal so that there is min VDS (in SOA), & my output voltage should be almost same at source terminal.

    Deepak,

Could you please re-post the SOA drawing. I can't see it.

    Best Regards,

    Cui
