Hi ,

   I am trying to test the Rds on for this part# CSD19532KTT.

Setting Vgs=6V (DC). I am forcing 200mA to drain and measuring the voltage. Using the formula "Measured voltage/Force current"  I can calculate the Rds(On). 

The below circuit is used for testing this. Can you confirm this procedure is correct else please guide me with correct one.

    I believe when our characterization team measures the resistance, they apply a known voltage bias from the drain to the source, and measure the current through the FET.

    However, in theory I see no reason why your method won't work as well. Have you attempted this yet? If you get results within the spec of the datasheet, then your methodology can be trusted.

    Thanks for your replay. I am yet to test this. If a known voltage is applied to drain to source in above setup, the Id current will be very high since the Rds is very low. I think in that case, the above setup wont work. Can you please share test  setup details for voltage force and measure current.

    Yes,
    You are correct. The current is constant and the resistance is calculated as the measured voltage, VDS / IDS. The IDS we use to measure the resistance is specified in the datasheet. Believe for this part it was 90A.
