Hi Sir,

I would like to know the working of below pass mosfet (used in enhancement mode).

I am using a wide range input from 3.14V to 200Volts Vin with load current of 0.2mA at 3.3V. The zener is used for regulation at 5.1V. The Vin inturn is connected to LP2985 to get vout = 3.3V.

I have seen this circuit in many places, in such wide input voltage application. The vz = 5.1V with test current of 3mA.

Pavaman,
As you have already noted, the FET is being used as a pass transistor. This is a 900V MOSFET from Vishay, and unfortunately, TI does not offer FETs in this voltage range. For more details about this FET specifically, you will have to reach out to the manufacturer.
