power supply switching requirement

Hello everyone, we have a requirement to switch ON/OFF power supply lines of a device for one of our application.

the requirement of switching is as follows

power supply line voltages: +7v @0.4A,

+5V@ 0.5A

The switching voltage is : 3.3V (LVTTL) signal.

Switching frequency : 333KHz with 1usec pulse width.

can i go for N-channel NexFET power MOSFET: CSD16323Q3C device or

suggest me a suitable device for the above application.

Ravikumar,
We Definitely have newer devices that would have less power loss. And I think this device would most likely be seriously overkill for these low power levels.

What is your topology?

Hello Mr. Brett Barr,
The topology that suits our requirement is High side switching. Meaning, The load will be connected in between source and ground.
Please suggest us suitable device/article that will help us achieve this.

Ok,
At such low currents, I think the device you picked is overkill, and you definitely don't need dual cool. But it should work. I would just get the standard package however as it will be less expensive.

As you can see, you might be able to get away with some much smaller devices is size is an issue.
