CSD25402Q3A: Issue voltage- Package

Hi,

I am using CSD25402Q3A p-channel mosfet for my project(18 volt supply) . but after looking detailed in my project environment, supply voltage can go up to 26 volt. but CSD25402Q3A only support to 20V.

hence i searched for alternative footprint with p channel mosfet (Because PCB Already manufactured) . but i noticed that all other manufacture with same footprint(3*3)  have 3 Source , 1 gate , 4 drain ( but CSD25402Q3A have 4 source, 1 gate , 3 drain) . Which means only TI have this type of arrangement . Please give any solution. for this problem.

    I believe I just answered this question for your colleague on a similar thread.

    Unfortunately, due to the uniqueness of TI's P-Channel "source down" silicon technology, I believe the footprint of our P-Channel devices will be reversed by any of our competitors. And as you probably have noted, TI only has P-Channel FETs that go up to 20V.

    Unfortunately, I do not see a solution without redesigning your board for a P-Channel that can handle 30V or somehow mitigating the voltage overshoot on the FET.
