CSD17381F4: CSD17381F4

Part Number: CSD17381F4

Hello Texas Instruments,

I have a question concerning one of your product CSD17381F4 30V N-Channel FemtoFET TM MOSFET.

Your product specification stated that "the intergrated ESD protection diode:

-Rated >4KV HBM

-Rated >2KV CBM".

When I check the ESD protection of the HBM, should I chek in air mode or in touch mode?

Regards!

  • Eli,

Thanks for the post, I am in communication with our ESD experts and will hopefully be able to get back to you within the next 24hrs.

    Best Regards
    Chris
  • Eli,

From speaking with our experts they commented:
The question of “air” vs. “touch” (contact) is a system level ESD question. Our devices are stressed to device level ESD testing (HBM – Human Body Model and CDM – Charged Device Model). System Level ESD is a different test done in Air or Contact mode on a “powered” system (not an individual device) using an ESD Gun.
System Level ESD Guns have different modules and one of them is called the “HBM” model that has C=100pF, R=1500 ohms. The waveforms of this ESD gun do not meet the waveform parameter requirements of ANSI/ESDA/JEDEC JS-001 that we test to.

    Best Regards
    Chris....
