LMZ14203 & LMZ14203EXT differences

Hi,

I have been using the standard LMZ14203 in an application and wish to upgrade to the LMZ14203EXT part for the extended temperature range.

Upon reading the datasheet I noticed a difference for the ENABLE pin description. For the standard part it says that this can be left floating to ensure that the part will always power up. For the EXT part this bit is missing - but otherwise the section is the same.

Is this a genuine difference?

I have checked the other members of the LMZ family with an EXT version and they all seem to show the same difference.

Can you please advise as I am looking at a modification to the circuit to make sure that is compatible with both devices.

Many thanks, best wishes

Peter

    Hello Peter,

There is no difference in the Enable input function between the EXT version and the non-EXT. Your application will work identically between the two device models.
