Hi,

I want to use a buck regulator for cc2541. The regulator recommended by TI in the reference design is having a maximum input voltage of 3.9v. But I want to use a lipo battery so it's maximum voltage can go to 4.2v when it is fully charged. So I don't feel it is a good idea to use that regulator. Now I need to find a regulator which is having max input voltage >=4.2v and a very low quiescent current or power down mode swith because I am assuming the quiescent current can be a bottleneck. Now I found a regulator TPS82740 which have a quiescent curent < 500nA. But in ti website it is not not in stock, I called few distributor but they have no idea about this product.

Yes, the TPS62740 and TPS82740A are newer devices than the TPS62730. The newer devices support a lithium ion battery input, unlike the TPS62730.

Yes right, I am going to sample the chip. But I am worried about the lead time. Because I asked few distributors and they don't have any idea about it.

We just released the device last month, so it may be a little while the distributors are able to add it to their stocking list, stock it, etc. But the device is fully released, so they should be able to place an order for you. Do you have a local TI contact you could work with?
