LMZ31710 Current sharing

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMZ31710

Hi,

I am using LMZ31710 in current sharing mode. Is this module recommended to use with current sharing and split voltage options?

If i can use, is it compulsory to give external SYNC clock? I can not provide this externally, shall i give Rrt for first module and connect SYNC output to RT/CLK of second pin?

and is it required to connect Rrt resistor for second module also?

please clarify these doubts..

Thanks in advance,

  • Hi Mahesh,

Yes, it is OK to current share in split voltage applications.

Yes, set the switching frequency using Rrt on the first module and drive the RT/CLK pin of the second using the SYNC_OUT of the first. I would place the correct Rrt resistor on the second module as well.
