Inquiries regarding LMZ31710

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMZ31710

Hello, all

Now we have some inquiries regarding LMZ31710 from our customer.

Please refer to the items below, and feedback us with your comment.

Q1. Now we are considering to use this functionality as described on "Figure 44. Adjustable VIN and PVIN Undervoltage Lockout" (datasheet page 25). However, the Standard Resistor values described on Table 10 are difficult to purchase. On this case, we would appreciate if you could show the formula to be able to calculate suitable resistor values.

Q2. With regard to "Figure 30. Typical Inhibit Control" on datasheet page 20, please let us clarify whether this topology is not depending on VIN and PVIN values. Since there is a description that INH/UVLO pin has an internal pull-up, INH/UVLO would exceed the absolute maximum ratings if adopting higher input voltage on PVIN and VIN.

Q3. Please let us know whether this device has Cout discharging functionality while powered off.

We thank you in advance for your information.

Best regards,

  • Hello,
Q1. For the UVLO resistors, it is OK to choose values close to the values listed in the datasheet.
Q2. The INH/UVLO feature is not dependent on PVIN or VIN. Applying a higher input voltage will not exceed the INH/UVLO abs max rating.
Q3. The device will not discharge the output voltage when powered off or INH.
