I Was wondering if it is possible to replace Rset in the PTH08T231W With a Reference Voltage from a DAC. I need to be able to vary my output voltage to control the speed of a motor real time so a fixed resistor won't work for me. If not does anyone know of a DC to DC converter module that i would be able to use to take a 7.4V Lipo Source and bring it down to a Voltage range of 1-6V that changes real time

PTH08T231W absolute maximum Vout is limited to 5.5V. If the volage was to be varied, it cannot be changed by more than 1V/ms .

The motor speed change would be much more gradual than 1V/ms. 1 V in a second would be a very high acceleration for the RC model i am designing. The 6V upper range is not necessarily needed as i have over designed the speed capabilities of my motor for the speed requirements of the vehicle. the major point i have is can the resistor be replaced with DAC output
