I have an operating temperature question that I'm hoping you can help me with. I am looking at using one of the DCP02x modules. From the datasheet, it shows that the top operating temperature is 85 degrees C.
Using the top operating temperature, the board to junction temperature coefficient provided (24degC/watt), and a desired power of 2W, the junction temperature calculated to be 133 deg C.
My question is, what happens if I use this part at 100 degrees C ambient temperature, but use it a lower power level to keep the junction temperature at 115 deg C? Is this possible? Will the part function in this scenario?
