24V-5V DC/DC (DCP022405U) Output Voltage Error, it SHOULD be 5V, BUT 10V instead, why?

Hi everyone,

after I soldered this power chip, DCP022405U, which intakes 24V DC and outputs 5V DC, I measured it's output voltage, it was 10.9V, very steady 10.9 volts, please help me figure out the reason.

Here's the condition that might be helpful for you:

Soldering station: ATTEN 8586
Soldering temperature: 350 to 380 degrees (C) (I soldered several chips, all output around 10V)
PCB board layers: 6

Bruce:

DCP022405 is an unregulated power converter. When there is no load on Vout bus with 24Vin, Vout can be as high as13V.

At 75% load with 24Vin, the output voltage range is 4.75V to 5.25V.

If your Vout requirement is 5V ±2% under Vin range 21.6 to 26.4, and loads conditions, , then the DCR022405U regulated converter will meet your requirememt.
