Hi,

I started using the TPS82130 recently and it works fine, but I had some troubles with getting it operational a couple of times. I set the voltage to 3.3volts with a divider, but only generated 2.04 volts on the output. I resoldered the component to the board, same result. I removed a Ferrite Bead on the input to the regulator and finally got a 3.3Vdc output.

There could have been something else I did to affect this result that I missed, my question is would a 600 ohm ferrite bead affect the regulator in some way?

Input voltage 12 vdc.

Can you post a waveform of Vin and Vout when the voltage was too low? Can you post your schematic and PCB layout?

You might order the EVM and test it--it's a working board that is ready to go.

I too have trouble with the TPS82130, using a ferrite on the input supply.
Two units broke already.
I will investigate it and post a follow-up later.

I have removed the ferrite on the input, furthermore I doubled the capacity from 1x10uF to 2x10uF on the input side.

From then on it worked fine.

My guess is, that by chance the ferrite and capaicty got in resonance.

Thanks, I am getting really suspicious of the ferrite bead as well, except I have some boards that it works just fine. Marginal behaviour I assume.
