TINA/Spice/LMZ34002: Voltage adjust problem and low current output.

Part Number: LMZ34002
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI,

Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models

Hello and good morning. I am using a LMZ34002 module, first I simulate the circuit using the TIna software, and after that I made a pcb for real testing.

The objective is to obtain -15 V at the output, but I am getting -10.2 V tops and just 100 mA.

I followed the design rules, and I would like to know if there is something I can do to make the negative regulator works.

Thanks in advance,

Ernesto.

  • Can you contact me offline at jarrigo@ti.com ?
Can you send your schematic? What is your input voltage? What is the current limit on your input power supply?
    Thansk, Jason
  • Dear Jason,
thank you for your fast response, I will send to you the data asap.
The input voltage is +24 V and the current limit is 1.5 A.
    Regards,
    Ernesto
  • Hello Ernesto,

Can you provide me some more details about your setup. This makes it easier to help you.

    1) What is your current capability of your input supply?
    2) What is your nominal input voltage and what is the operating range (min/max input voltage you consider)?
    3) What is your expected nominal output current?
    3) Can you also provide me a schematic of your circuit and also of your board design?

    Best regards,
    Michael
