TPS82085: PMW to PSM mode transition

When designing the system uses TPS82085, I would like to know what the transition time 

when switching from PSM to PMW mode or vice versa. At the transition, what is the current

during switching time? I have some issues that the voltage burst drops below 2.0V even it has 2.7V

designed output at normal condition.

    Your question on timing is not clear. If the inductor current ever reaches 0, the low side FET is turned off and PFM is entered (if Vout is above the setpoint).

    It sounds like you have a load transient issue. Can you post some waveforms, of Vin, Vout, load current, and inductor current, which show it?
