When Power up DCP010505 Current up to 2A,Why?

hello,I meet a problom in my project.

There is 5 DCP010505BP in my PCB, and VIN is 5V, when Power up , The total current can be 2A, but after about 1 second, it could be change to 200mA.

Sometimes , It can keep 2A all time. If I disconnect the DCP DC-DC, the current will keep 80mA at each power up.

what had happened? Can you give me some suggestions?

  • I can  not find a resolve Method.

The DCP0105050 when initial power power can sink up to 750mA per converter. If the input power source  (5V) cannot supply more than 2A during dv/dt, the power converters may not power on . the dv/dt of the power source is not capable of source current during transition from 0V to 5V. The input voltage to the DCP01 is at about 3.4V to 3.6V ( from power source) fro seconds.

I attached one method to delay the power-on to the DCP fro about 3m- 5m seconds until the  power source is 5V and stable.

  • thank you, you are just right, if I change a Power source, the situation get better, that problem nearly dont happened.the current is about 200mA.

    thank you again.
