PTMA401120: onboard component package

Part Number: PTMA401120
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PTMA403033

I have several CCAs using the PTMA401120.  In all but one of the instances the large component (a transformer?) located in the center of the PTMA401120 is mounted to the PTMA401120"s CCA using ten available pins.  In one instance the center pin on each side of the component has been removed.  Is this still a valid configuration for the PTMA401120?  I also am using several PTMA403033 devices and in all cases the center pin on either side of the large component has been removed.

Thanks.

Steve

  • PTMA401120, PTMA403033 have qualified multiple power transformer sources . These two transformers with non-populated center pins, i.e. primary and secondary side called pin 3 and pin 8, have no externally connection to any PCB copper pads . The non-populated center pins do not affect the PTMA integrity or functionality.
