PTH12060W: No.8 Pin Track Use

I have a question about pin 8 of the PTH12060W.


According to the data sheet, if you do not use No.8 pin track, it is said to connect with Vin.

If nothing is connected to Open without connecting No.8 pin to Vin, will it affect the operation?

    Hello Bae:

    If the auito   track function is not required. It should be connected directly  Vin defeating the auto track function. . If  the auto track is left floating or open,  . the output voltage during initial start-up can have a significant  vout over- shoot and can be non-linear until after about 10-20 msec . See below

    1. PTH12060 and PTH120x0 open/ floating Auto track during power up

    2. PTH12060 and PTH120x0 Auto track connected to Vin . Auto track defeated.
