LMZ31520: power-good functionality in the Forced Continuous Conduction Mode

Hi!

Help me please with one question on LMZ31520.

Is it still possible to have power-good functionality on the PWRGD pin while using Forced Continuous Conduction Mode? I.e., is it correct to have the PWRGD pin pulled up to V5V pin with a 4.7kOhm resistor and the SS_SEL pin connected to the PWRGD pin (for the FCCM) through a 160kOhm resistor (to have 2.8 ms Slow-Start Time)?

Hi Vic,

For a 2.8msec SS Time, you would connect a 161kOhm resistor(Rss) between PWRGD(pin19) and SS_SEL(pin3). Additionally, to use the power good feature you would need to connect PWRGD_PU(pin18) to V5V(pin61) or to an external supply voltage between 1.3V and 6.5V.

Yes, PWRGD is still active whether in FCCM or Auto-Skip mode.

Your set-up as you described is correct.
