Hi Sirs,

we are using LMZ20502 on some designs of ours. Could you provide us the IBIS model for this module?

I was wondering why this module is not present on the website. Could you tell me if it is available as

product or if for some reason it is better to not use it? We bought a good quantity of these modules

from EBV. Is there any possibility that this module is not supported anymore?

Hi Anston,

sorry for the delay but I was sick and I was not able to reply before. We need a model to simulate

the behaviour of our system in terms of EMC radiation. So we need a model regarding the VOUT and FB pins

Hi Pietro,

An IBIS model describes the characteristic (not behavior) of individual pins. Usually it is used on digital buffers. VOUT and FB pins are analog and hence there will be no IBIS models for them. BTW, I don't think it is supported in PSPICE.

How do you intend to do the EMC analysis? What kind of simulations do you plan to run?

Hi Zhu,

you are right but let me explain our needs and how we would like to solve it temporarily. We need the PSpice

transient model of LMZ20502 and at the moment it is not available. We need this model beacuse we would like

to characterize our board including the PCB for what concern the radiated and conducted emissions. To do that

we need a model for every single noise source and that is the reason we were searching for the PSpice model

of the indicated device. We asked to the distributor and they told us that the documentation about this device is

not avaliable at the moment. After that answer and consideriing that the PSPice model is not available I asked to

the forum for the IBIS model because with that information we can modify a PSpice model of a generic Buck

converter that we have and we can perform our evaluation on radiated and conducted emission.

That is the reason why I answered that I can use only th emodel of the VOUT and FB pins. VOUT because is

the pin related to the source of noise and FB because is the pin charging the VOUT net.

Anyway we know that the model will be available soon and then we can wait for it. At the moment we will not insert

that noise source in the simulation deck
