boost converter 10V to 13.5V 1A

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ51025, LMR61428, LMR62014

Hi My customer is looking for,

I’m looking at a suitable boost converter to use with bq51025 Wireless Power Receiver Evaluation Module. This is to boost the voltage from 10V to 13.5V.

From LMR61428 Evaluation Module datasheet, it seems only do up to 5V /500mA.

From LMR62014, as it is, it can produce 12V / 450mA.

Can either of the EVMs be modified to give 13.5V / 1A outout?

  • Hi Sujeeva,

I don't understand what you mean by 5V/ 500mA? The LMR61428 can convert 10V to 13.5V and output 1A at 80% efficiency very easily. In fact my calculations show the maximum output current can be pushed till about 1.5A at that efficiency.

How are you quoting the outputs you mention for the LMR parts?

    Thanks,
    Anston
  • Also, please use Webench to come up with the BOM modifications necessary on the EVM board. It will simulate and provide graphs for currents and voltages you desire. I would use the LMR61428.

    Thanks,
