LM46001 - the EN pin maximum absoulte rating in case of inverting DCDC

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM46001

Hi all

Would you mind if we ask LM46001?

How much is the EN pin maximum absoulte rating in case of inverting DCDC(as like following URL)?
http://www.tij.co.jp/jp/lit/df/snvr426/snvr426.pdf

The datasheet shows EN to PGND : -0.3 VIN + 0.3.
So, when the input is 24V and PGND(of the device)=-15V, the EN pin maximum absoulte rating is 39V.
Is our recognition correct?

We appreciate for your help always.

Kind regards,

Hirotaka Matsumoto

  • If the 39V is referring to the PGND of the LM46001, then yes.

If the 39V is referring to the system ground and PGND of the IC is -15V, then only 24V (=VIN) can be used.

Be careful with the EN level during transiets and startup/shutdown as well. Not just the DC level.
