Over Current Limiting Operation of LM2842

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM2842, LM2841, LM2840
Hi
I have three questions about over current limit operation of LM2842.
1. Short circuit protection
  LM2842 has Short circuit protection.
Does it operate by hiccup mode when this device become short circuit?
2. Current protection mode
Does it this device stop the output that it monitors peak current every cycle and if when it exceeds the current limit value?
3. Switch Current Limit vs. SHDN Pin Voltage
As long as I watched fig 9 of datasheet, I think this device can drop current limit value by dropping SHND pin voltage by zener diode.
  Is this attitude correct?
Best regards,
