LMR64010: SOT23-5 package support max load current (1A)?

My Input is 5V and output is 12V. What component changes I would required in order to support max load current at output? I believe I need to change inductor value but not sure to what value. Currently I am using exactly same design on page 11 (figure 19) on datasheet.

Hi,

I dont think you can do 1A with this IC. You will hit the current limit since the current limit dependent on duty cycle.
At best maybe 300-400mA. You can probably use this

Ok thanks. Its already in our desing. So i was thinking if I could change anything to make it support 800mA-1A. Is there any drop and replace solution for same footprint?

You can probably try this but it might be short from 1A max current

I tried LMR62014, however I could max go to 380mA of load. After that, my output voltage is dropping. I want to get atleast 500mA-600mA. See attached my schematic. I replaced LMR64010 to LMR62104. Also I replaced D4 and L2 to support 1A.

Try to increase the input voltage and see if you can reach a higher current.

Arief is correct that this device will not give you 1A output current for the application. This is a boost converter. Switch current ratings need to scaled by the duty cycle taking into account the peak switch current. This is unlike buck regulators where rating at the top of the data sheet gives you an indication of the capability of the application.
