Need a boost for
Input 3V min
Output – up to 17V 500mA
Small size – SOT23-5 preferred
I think LMR64241 can be used but WEBanch not alowed for 0.5A.
I dont understand why as its meet: - Iout = 0.65 * Iswitch(min) * (Vin/Vout)
Am I worng?

    Hi Eli

     LMR62421 can't give 500mA at Vin=17V Vout=3V.

    You can calculate input current and estimate switching current,

    Iin * 3 *efficiency(80%)=17*0.5

    Iin=3.5A, and switching current will be higher than Iin.

    There is a typical maximum output current vs Vin graph in datasheet.

      You could use TPS55340.
