TPS3808 / MR pulse width

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS3808

Hi,

Our customer has evaluated TPS3808's MR detection.

Under the following conditions, it took 60ns that RESET signal toggled high to low.

On the other hand,

the past E2E is as follows.

The TPS3808 /MR pulse width (Tw parameter in datasheet) should be designed to be 20ns minimum to guarantee the TPS3808 detects the signal across all worst case conditions.

Please let me know why MR pulse width takes 60ns to reset in our customer's conditions.

Best Regards,

Kato

  • Hi Kato,

The previous post refers to the minimum input pulse width required on the /MR input for the TPS3808 to recognize that the input has been pulsed low.  This is tin the Electrical Characteristic table.

The delay that you are illustrating above is the propagation delay from /MR to /RESET.  This is line tpHL in the Electrical Characteristic table.  The typical value for the propagation delay is 150ns.

    Very Respectfully,

    Ryan
