I have previously submitted a feedback for SLVA521 errors, but I didn't receive any feedback. So, I am posting it here and I hope somebody can answer it. I am using TPS386000 in a new design and I read SLVA521 which deals with selecting correct resistor for SENSEi inputs of the chip. The problem is that in some equations on page 5 of this application note, there are mistakes and generated numbers are not valid. As a very simple example, R2 calculation on page 5 is erroneous:
R2 = Vref × R1 / (Vth(nom) – Vref) = 0.4 V × 500 k / (1.737 V – 0.4 V) = 426894 Ω (false) which should be 149588 Ω In the next coming lines are also mistakes in V΄΄th calculation as well. Can anybody help me find the differences? Is there another better reference design for selecting resistors?
