Selecting of SVS

HI,

Requirement of SVS  input voltage is range of 1.8 to 6V

i want to detect low supply voltage for  a input voltage  when it comes below 2.8 Volt and this ouput is given to input pin of the microcontroller .  please suggst me the part to choose and also cost effective

And i m having confusion in setting the  threshold  value etc..  is there any simple guide to understand the SVS function and how to use ?

  • Hi,

The best way to go about selecting an SVS is to use our parametric search which you can find here: http://www.ti.com/lsds/ti/power-management/supervisor-reset-ic-products.page

TPS3808G30 has a threshold of 2.79V.  This means that when the rail that the SVS is monitoring goes below 2.79V, the output will trigger a reset signal on the output.

You will also want to decide if you want an open-drain output (requires a pullup resistor) or a push-pull output (internally pulls up to VDD).

    Very Respectfully,

    Ryan
