TPS3808G09 reset signal problem

I have a TPS3808G09 in my design which doesn't work properly. Its connections are like this:

VDD -> 3.3V

GND -> GND

Ct -> Open

MR -> Open

Reset -> Pulled up with a 10K resistor to its VDD (3.3V)

Sense -> To a 1.0V rail voltage

Since it's a TPS3808G09 it's supposed to toggle its Reset pin from Low state to High state when its Sense pin reaches a voltage more than 0.9V but in my case it doesn't !  It remains in Low state for good.

I don't get it. It's a simple Supervisor and Reset IC. Has anybody faced such a problem before?

  • Hi Mostafa,

    Have you measured the voltage at the SENSE pin to confirm that your 1V rail is actually above the threshold of 0.84V at the sense pin? Can you also trying ramping the voltage on the sense pin up to Vdd to see if Reset will toggle?

    Regards,

    David
