Voltage detecting/monitoring ICs for MCU F28377

We are using TI controlCARD (attached schematic_ckt2014 ), in this controlCARD TPS389x (SVS Ic) Ic have been used for voltage detection.

And in new revision of this controlCARD (attached schematic_ckt2015 ), in this controlCARD TPS3702C (SVS Ic) Ic have been used for voltage detection.

So why TI replaced TPS389x form TPS3702C ? . Which one is better to use with MCU F28377.

And please suggest us other voltage detecting/monitoring ICs for MCU F28377.

Hi Amtech,

TPS3702 was released in 2015 and was not available for the earlier versions. This SVS offers both over- and under-voltage monitoring while the TPS389x only offered under-voltage monitoring. TPS3702 also provides more accurate monitoring.

Can you suggest me other Ics which have more accuracy and under voltage detection for 4 to 5 % of voltage sensed ?
We have to use it with F28377 MCU. ( So need to sense 3.3V and 1.2V ).

Hi Ryan,

TPS3702 is looks costlier. and we not need OV monitoring, then which monitor Ic can we use ( What for TPS3897 ?) ?

If you do not require OV monitoring for your application, you can continue to use TPS3897 for your application.
